Karakteristik Gereja yang Sehat

Abstract

This paper wants to illustrate that the characteristics of a healthy church are very much needed by every church leader. Because that is what the Lord Jesus Christ wants for each of His churches. In understanding the characteristics of a healthy church, one must understand the origin or history of the church from the beginning which is contained in the Bible. If a person does not understand the source or lineage from which he was born, this is where a big problem will occur in the future. Likewise, church leaders must understand the initial sources in establishing and developing their churches. To understand the characteristics of a healthy church, this paper uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of producing a good and healthy theological understanding, especially for church leaders and ministers as well as God's congregation.


Abstrak
Tulisan ini ingin menggambarkan bahwa karakteristik Gereja yang sehat itu sangat diperlukan oleh setiap pemimpin Gereja. Karena itulah yang diinginkan oleh Tuhan Yesus Kristus bagi setiap gereja-Nya. Dalam memahami karakteristik gereja yang sehat haruslah mengerti asal-muasal atau sejarah gereja dari awalnya yang terdapat dalam Alkitab. Jika seseorang tidak mengerti sumber atau silsilah dari mana ia lahir, disinilah akan terjadi masalah yang besar kedepannya. Demikian halnya pemimpin gereja harus memahami sumber awal dalam mendirikan serta mengembangkan gerejanya. Untuk memahami karakteristik Gereja yang sehat dalam tulisan ini memakai pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan agar menghasilkan suatu pemahaman teologis yang baik dan sehat, khususnya bagi para pemimpin gereja dan pelayan serta jemaat Tuhan.
