Rambut Pirang di Lingkungan Pendidikan Teologi dalam Bingkai Teologi Simbol
Abstract
This article is a study of popular culture (blond hair) from the perspective of symbol theology. What is being studied is the paradigm of blonde hair that is understood by people in the Christian Theological Higher Education environment in Indonesia. The importance of assessing popular culture paradigms such as open and creative blonde hair lies in the openness and acceptance of each individual to different and diverse experiences. Using the theology of symbols, this article highlights a series of understandings by the theologically educated community in various Christian Theological Colleges in Indonesia regarding blonde hair as one of popular culture. As part of the research, observations were made of representatives from various Christian theological campuses with different theological colors such as evangelical, ecumenical, Calvinist, progressive, and charismatic through online interviews. The findings of this study indicate that the perceptions and views of the Christian Theological Higher Education community in Indonesia regarding blonde hair as one of popular culture tend not to open up a deep interpretation of its symbolic meaning.
