Yesus sebagai Utusan dan Pra-Eksistensi-Nya: Kajian Kristologi Biblika atas Perjanjian Lama dan Perjanjian Baru

Abstract

One issue frequently raised against Christianity concerns the designation of Jesus as the One who was sent. The title “Apostle,” which is applied to Jesus Christ, is often interpreted solely in the sense of a messenger or one who is sent. Consequently, many people indirectly regard Jesus merely as a messenger rather than as God. This argument is based on the relationship between the sender and the one who is sent: if the One who is sent is God, then what does that make the One who sends Him? This study employs a qualitative research method and examines several key topics, namely, the angel of the Lord as a messenger in the Old Testament, the pre-existence of Jesus, why Jesus prays, Jesus as the divine cloud rider, and Jesus’ authority to forgive sins. Based on the discussion of these topics, the study concludes that Jesus is both truly God and truly human. He became incarnate as a human being in order to redeem God’s people from sin and death

Abstrak

Persoalan yang sering dilontarkan terhadap kekristenan adalah berkaitan dengan sebutan Yesus sebagai utusan. Gelar sebagai Rasul yang dikenakan kepada Yesus Kristus seringkali dilihat dan dimengertinya hanya dalam artian sebagai utusan sehingga banyak orang secara tidak langsung memandang Yesus hanya sebagai utusan dan bukan Tuhan. Hal ini di dasarkan pada pengutus dan utusan yakni jikalau yang diutus menjadi Tuhan lantas yang mengutus jadi apa? Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif , yang mana membahas beberapa poin pembahasan yakni, Malaikat utusan dalam Perjanjian Lama, Pra-eksistensi Yesus, Mengapa Yesus Berdoa, Yesus sebagai sang pengendara awan dan yang terakhir adalah pengampunan Yesus terhadap dosa. Dari semua poin diatas sampai kepada satu kesimpulan bahwa Yesus adalah Allah sejati dan juga manusia sejati yang berinkarnasi menjadi manusia untuk menebus umat Allah dari dosa dan maut.
